The programme will support the development of safety standards and regulations for LPG use. District Assemblies will be encouraged to adopt the woodfuel policy prepared to enhance sustained woodfuel supply and utilization Efficient woodfuel conversion technologies for charcoal production and cookstoves identified in previous project will be piloted and woodfuel plantations encouraged in the northern part of the country where deforestation and desertification is paramount
