The creation of partnership as a vehicle for the eradication of poverty has become very important in the global development agenda.

This is because in addition to facilitating the surmounting of the myriad of challenges faced in the eradication of poverty, partnerships also enhance the creation of more synergy and development of larger constituencies for advocacy and influencing of policies and programmes that negatively impact on the poor.
