Its current priority is to help all countries achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015.

World leaders have pledged to achieve the Millennium Development Goals, including the overarching goal of cutting poverty in half by 2015. YEN Stakeholders meetings
With support from the UNDP, the MMYE organized a stakeholder consultative workshop on 12th March, 2008 at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel, Accra, to provide a platform for awareness creation, partnership building/strengthening for the YEN process as well as the finalization of a cabinet memo on the YEN and a letter of intent to relevant quarters expressing Ghana’s intension to join the YEN Lead Countries. UNDP supports agriculture in Yendi
Yendi (N/R), Feb. 19, GNA- The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has provided GHC 7,921 to the Yendi Peace Council (YPC), a social group, to assist unemployed youth in the Yendi Municipality to go into agriculture.
The money would be channelled through the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and beneficiaries would be expected to engage in dry season farming.
